Weather Photos About the project:
Weather patterns, or the movement of weather phenomena from one part of the world to another, networked us together long before the Internet, mobile phones, and other ephemera of "the networked society." The Weather Photos project uses one of these new "virtual" networks, the Internet, as a means for people to communicate the physical and emotional impact that the weather has on their daily lives.
Through the weather photographs they share each day, participants get to know each other and learn to respond in a meaningful way to the photos of their partner. This deepening of understanding is the primary goal of the project. Participants work with a partner in a different region or country, so the Weather Photos project establishes connections where there previously were none.
